Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use gantham.in (the "site") or book or buy an ORYZA product from us. By using the site or placing a booking, you agree to them.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "Gantham" mean Gantham Ventures Pvt. Ltd. "You" means the person using the site or placing a booking.

1. Using the site

• You must be at least 18 years old, or use the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
  
• You agree to give accurate details (name, phone, email, address) when you book or contact us.
  
• You must not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, scrape it, copy its content for commercial use, or interfere with other users.
  

2. Founding bookings

• A founding booking reserves one ORYZA unit from the first production batch. The booking amount is ₹999 plus applicable GST, unless the site shows otherwise at the time you book.
  
• A booking is a reservation, not a completed sale. The final price, balance payable and delivery details will be confirmed to you before dispatch, and you can choose whether to complete the purchase.
  
• Batch size, launch timelines and dispatch dates shown on the site (for example, expected dispatch in April 2027) are our current plan. They may change because of manufacturing, certification or supply issues. If they change, we will tell you by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  
• Bookings are taken in the order payments are received, up to the batch limit.
  

3. Prices and payment

• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹). GST is charged as applicable and shown on your invoice.
  
• Payments are processed by our payment partner, Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. Your card, UPI, net-banking or wallet details are entered on Cashfree's secure pages. We do not see or store your full card or bank details.
  
• Your payment is also subject to Cashfree's own terms and policies.
  

4. Cancellations and refunds

• To cancel a booking or ask for a refund, write to info@gantham.in or message us on WhatsApp with your name, phone number and payment reference.
  
• Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Cashfree. Refund processing and timelines follow Cashfree's refund policy and your bank's timelines.
  
• If we cancel a booking from our side (for example, if we cannot deliver to your location), we will refund the full booking amount.
  

5. Demos and home trials

Demos and home trials in Chennai are offered subject to availability. Booking a demo (for example through WhatsApp) does not create any obligation to buy.

6. Delivery, warranty and returns of the product

Delivery terms, the product warranty and return conditions for ORYZA units will be shared with you in writing before you complete your purchase, and will form part of these terms for that purchase.

7. Product information and health statements

• We try to keep product descriptions, images and specifications accurate. Images and animations are illustrative, and the final product may differ slightly in colour or finish.
  
• Starch-reduction figures on the site come from initial NABL lab tests. Results depend on rice variety, portion size and preparation.
  
• ORYZA is a kitchen appliance. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, prevent or treat any disease. Content about tradition, Siddha or nutrition is for general information only and is not medical advice.
  

8. Intellectual property

All content on the site, including the ORYZA name and logo, the Mr. Arisi Raman character, text, photographs, renders, animations and design, belongs to Gantham Ventures Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, download, republish or use it for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

9. Third-party links and services

The site links to services run by others, such as Cashfree (payments) and WhatsApp (demo bookings and support). Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, applies to your use of the site from that date. Changes do not affect a booking you have already paid for, unless the law requires it.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over any dispute.
